Transfers in the Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences
All transfer applicants must have completed Calculus 1 for science along with at least two other basic science courses (biology, chemistry, and physics) to be considered for admission in a program in the Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (excluding Dietetics). The remaining basic science courses will have to be completed based on the program requirements.
Any transfer or readmission to a program in the Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences requires a student to be in satisfactory standing.
Intra-faculty transfers
Currently registered in the Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences and wish to change your program or specialization, or remove a minor?聽
Complete the program change form, have it signed by both your current and new academic advisors,聽and send it to records.macdonald [at] mcgill.ca.
Application deadlines
- For fall term: June 1 for Dietetics; fall add/drop deadline for all other programs聽
- For winter term: winter add/drop deadline (transfers into Dietetics are only accepted for the fall semester)
Inter-faculty transfers
Currently registered in a degree program at 麻豆色情片 and wish to transfer into the Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences?
Submit an electronic inter-faculty transfer application through the student records menu in Minerva.
CGPA requirements
- Agricultural & Environmental Sciences, Food Science, concurrent Food Science/Nutritional Sciences, and Bioresource Engineering degrees: minimum 2.7 CGPA
- B.Sc. (Nutritional Sciences), major in Nutrition: minimum 3.0 CGPA
- B.Sc. (Nutritional Sciences), major in Dietetics: minimum 3.3 CGPA
Additional requirements for the Dietetics major
Candidates applying to transfer to the Dietetics Major must have a minimum 3.30 CGPA in a nutrition, health, or science-related program.

Priority will be given to applicants who have been carrying a full course load (at least 12 credits per semester) and have completed all entrance science pre-requisite courses.聽
In the event that the number of transfer applicants with a CGPA of 3.30 or higher exceeds the program's capacity, then the CGPA cut-off could be higher than 3.30 (for Fall 2023 and Fall 2024, the cut-off was minimum of 3.30 CGPA).
The Dietetics major takes 3.5 years to complete, from the time of transfer to the first fall semester, due to the sequencing of the stages (internships) in this integrated professional program.聽聽

Adding a minor
Students in the Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences can聽register for a minor by completing the聽minor request form聽(usually at the beginning of your U2 year). Send your completed form to聽records.macdonald [at] mcgill.ca聽for approval.
