Given that much of the Â鶹ɫÇ鯬 Libraries' collection of print items has been moved to our offsite Collections Centre, PhD students can now apply for a second borrowing card to ensure they can check out all the materials they need. This card is called a PhD Research Card.

To request a PhD Research Card, you must register for a Â鶹ɫÇ鯬 Libraries Borrowing card and select the PhD Research Card category.

Â鶹ɫÇ鯬 Libraries Borrowing Cards

Â鶹ɫÇ鯬 Libraries Borrowing Cards are valid in all Â鶹ɫÇ鯬 libraries, subject to the borrowing policies of individual collections.

A Â鶹ɫÇ鯬 Libraries Borrowing Card may only be used by the person to whom it is issued.

Fines or other sanctions are imposed for late returns and cards may be cancelled if misused.

Note: Registering for a Â鶹ɫÇ鯬 Libraries Borrowing Card does not provide remote access to the Library’s electronic resources to those not already eligible, nor does it give you access to all library services and resources.

Visit the Service Desk at any Â鶹ɫÇ鯬 library location except the Rare Books & Special Collections Library or the Â鶹ɫÇ鯬 Archives.

Please note that your regular Â鶹ɫÇ鯬 borrowing account and your Â鶹ɫÇ鯬 Libraries Borrowing card are two separate accounts that are not connected to one another.

Your Â鶹ɫÇ鯬 Libraries Borrowing card account will have a different password from your regular Â鶹ɫÇ鯬 account. You will be sent a link to set the password for your Â鶹ɫÇ鯬 Libraries Borrowing card after you submit your application for the card.

When signing in to your Â鶹ɫÇ鯬 Libraries Borrowing card account:

Sign in to your : select "Login with a barcode". Use the barcode on your Â鶹ɫÇ鯬 Libraries Borrowing Card (begins with 290), and the password you selected during the registration process.
