  hydroelectricity in Quebec and the potential for other renewable energy s

 osts. This seminar will present the findings of the study report 'A Decarb
 onized Northeast Electricity Sector: The value of regional integration'. T
 here are many benefits to wider regional integration\, which will require 
 changes in the planning and management of electrical power. \n\nThis is jo
 int event from the Chaire de gestion du secteur de l’énergie in collaborat
 ion with  l'Institut de l'énergie Trottier (IET) and  Trottier Institute o
 n Sustainability in Engineering and Design (TISED).\n\n \n\nAvec l’importa
 nce de l’hydroélectricité au Québec et le potentiel d’autres énergies reno
 uvelables\, une approche régionale intégrée pourrait réduire significative
 ment les coûts de la décarbonisation. Ce séminaire présentera les conclusi
 ons et l’approche de modélisation développée dans le rapport «A Decarboniz
 ed Northeast Electricity Sector: The Value of Regional Integration». D’imp
 ortants gains peuvent être obtenus avec une plus grande intégration région
 ale. Celle-ci demandera cependant différents changements dans la manière t
