Yiming Xiao
Ph.D., P.Eng., SM IEEE
Dr. Xiao's research lies at the intersection of medical imaging, computer vision, and machine learning, with the overarching goal of enhancing the precision and efficiency of image-guided diagnostics and medical interventions for a range of conditions affecting both the brain and the body. Drawing upon his background in biomedical engineering and clinical collaboration, his work involves the development and application of innovative computational techniques, including artificial intelligence and virtual reality to medical images. This interdisciplinary approach aims to unlock new possibilities for improving clinical workflows and patient outcomes in various medical specialties, particularly within neurosurgery.
