Her talk will b e entitled “What role can implementation science play in tailoring rights- based strategies to promote more equitable health outcomes?”\n\n“What role can implementation science play in tailoring rights-based strategies to p romote more equitable health outcomes?”\n\nCivil Society Organizations (CS Os) play an instrumental role in ensuring that state policies and programm es are tailored to meet the health needs of disadvantaged populations. In the early 2000s\, when HIV/AIDS was at its peak in sub-Saharan Africa\, CS Os led the advancement of affordable antiretroviral (ARV) drugs. Although significant reform has been achieved by organizations in countries around the world\, several contextual barriers still hinder CSOs ability to reali ze more equitable access to care. With its ability to highlight the contex ts in which CSO advocacy and litigation strategies succeed or fail\, imple mentation science offers a viable approach to guide CSOs in their efforts. This presentation considers the way methods in implementation science can enhance our understanding of the contexts in which CSOs rights-based stra tegies may result in more improved health outcomes.\n\nBiography\n\nDiya U beroi is a postdoctoral fellow at the Research Group on Health Law\, where her research focuses on the role rights-based strategies play in promotin g more equitable health outcomes.
