We鈥檙e proud to highlight the important work of Dr. Claire Godard-Sebillotte, recently featured in The Montreal Gazette. Dr. Godard-Sebillotte, assistant professor in the Division of Geriatrics and geriatrician at the Montreal General Hospital, co-led a on how socioeconomic status affects dementia care in Quebec. The findings reveal systematic differences in mortality, hospitalization, ED visits, potentially inappropriate medication use, and cognition specialist referrals, alluding to potential pervasive inequities.
This impactful research has informed Quebec鈥檚 new Alzheimer鈥檚 Ministerial policy, one of the key pillars of which is to reduce these inequities.
