Description : Cycling in cities is becoming a major mode of transport deserving attention from the public as well as policy makers. Nevertheless\, given the contested nature of city streets\, urban cycling comes with a significant share of sometimes life-t hreatening challenges. During this one-day workshop\, we will present rese arch undertaken by Transportation Research at Â鶹ɫÇéƬ (TRAM) into the types of cyclists in Montreal and their needs\, safety issues related to bicycl e parking in Montreal\, and Bixi usage and bicycle-transit integration opp ortunities.
