She holds degrees from Â鶹ɫÇ鯬 (BA Hon 2006) and the University of Victoria (PhD 2011). Since 2010\, she has taught numerous courses on Canadian history\, women’s and gender history\, and the history of the body. Andrea is curren tly completing a book manuscript and her work has appeared in a range of s cholarly publications\, academic journals\, and history blogs. Although passionate about development\, she was both criti cal of the systems in place and confused as to where she fit in. After an internship in the South Rift of Kenya\, Teneille realised she wanted to su pport locally led and community based development. Throughout the past yea r Teneille lived in Nairobi and worked for a start-up in education.
